The Broken Winged Bird

High flying Eagle spread your two equally strong wings  and soar above the mundane and confused

Oneness Eagle soar majestically on mountain peaks

What is the meaning of you wings—we women and men grounded ¬†looking up?

Wings of the male?

Wings of the female?

Or are wings just wings?

Eagle with one wing?

Grounded here with us going round and round in circles

You are a broken winged bird and you flight is very slow and low

Like us—we men and women dreaming of lofty things

like equality of women and men—just a dream still—just a dream
