Drugs, Cops and Community

Cops hired to take down the druggers

Druggers active to take down the cops

Community doing drugs, not doing drugs, not caring if anyone does drugs

Docs and drugs

White coated pharm types and  drugs

Pills, bottles, bags, seeking the Gods in the bottle—yet another drug

Shoot it up, slam it down, snort it up, drink it down

Higher and Lower, Up and Down—this dance

Power

Spirit

Purpose

Relief

Security

So much busy-ness around the mystery with the big ‘D’

Walked away thirty years ago—got sane—got sober—got spiritual—got awake

AA and NA and steps from 12 to one and from One to 12—that dance

Yet, Sir Drug waits patiently outside my soul doing one finger push ups grinning at me and ask regularly

“Are you sure?”

My choice—am I sure?

“Sure” so far sure ODAAT
