The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award 2012 is now open for entries. Entries for the award are open to poets aged 11-17 years; it is “recognised as a career-changing competition of cultural significance nationally and internationally, with previous winners coming from as far as New Zealand, Malaysia and the U.S.A”.
It claims to attract over 7,000 entries from young people every year, and is an excellent platform for those considering a career in writing.
